SolPine Studios is Jillian and Ethan — a Denver-based film and digital photography duo. With a combined two decades of experience shooting everything from landscapes and architecture to portraits, events, and commercial work, we bring a unique eye to weddings.

We shoot weddings and elopements on film because it’s real, raw, and will look timeless in 20 years instead of dated at five.

We plan your elopement because navigating permits and coordinating vendors in the Colorado backcountry is genuinely complicated and nobody should do it alone.

We deliver sneak peeks within 24 hours because you and the people who love you deserve to relive the memories without the wait.

And we take on no more than 24 couples a year; not because we can't do more, but because that's how we make every couple’s experience one of a kind.

Our documentary heart is about presence. It's being there for the fleeting glances, the quiet tears, the laughter that erupts between moments no one planned. It's about capturing the day as it unfolds, honoring the emotions you actually felt, not the ones you were supposed to perform. These are the moments that get missed if you're not paying attention. We are.

The editorial eye is about intention. When it's time for couples portraits, we step in with a vision to create something that takes your breath away. Images where you look your absolute best. The kind of portraits you can hardly believe are you. The ones that become heirlooms, framed in your home and passed down for generations.

We work with couples who see beauty everywhere. In a mountain vista, in a carefully set table, in the way light falls through old-growth trees. You value art and memory equally. You've curated a day that feels like you, and you want photography that honors both the aesthetic and the emotion of it all.

Our process is designed to feel effortless. During the ceremony, the toasts, the dancing, you'll forget we're there. During portraits, you'll feel calm, present, and trust that we're crafting something extraordinary. You get to be fully in your day while we make sure nothing is lost.

Work With Us

Working with us should feel easy, not like another thing on your to-do list. From our first conversation, we're focused on getting to know you and what matters most so we can show up ready to capture your day the way you'll actually want to remember it.

From first message to last dance.

  • Fill out the inquiry form with your date, location, and a little about your vision. We read every inquiry carefully and personally respond within 48 hours. Tell us what drew you here — it helps us understand if we're the right fit for each other.

  • When you’re ready to move forward, we schedule a call. This is not a sales pitch, it’s a genuine conversation about your day, your people, and what matters to you. We want to understand the feel of the wedding you're building, not just the logistics, and we want to give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. If we're a good match, you'll know it by the end of the call.

  • A signed contract and 40% retainer secures your date on our calendar. We only hold dates for booked clients. Popular summer and fall Colorado dates book 12–18 months out, so if your date matters to you, this step matters too.

  • In the months before your wedding we connect with you and your planner, review the timeline, and walk your venue if we haven't been there. If you want an engagement session (highly recommended) we do that too. By wedding day we know your faces, your families, and what matters most.

  • We arrive early and we stay late. We move quietly when it matters and direct posing at key moments. You can rest assured that we will capture it all: the getting-ready chaos and the venue details, ceremony and reactions, dance floor and quiet corners.

  • We’re big believers in the tangible, so a parting gift is delivered before you leave the venue. Family formals and sneak peeks arrive within 24 hours so that both you and your loved ones have something to share. Your full gallery, fully edited including all film scans, is delivered within 8 weeks. Then we talk about your album.
