Hey there! We’re Jillian & Ethan

Once upon a time, Jillian was a mechanical engineer crunching numbers and fancy tubes. Then one day—plot twist!—she got laid off and decided to chase the dream that had been whispering for years: make photography more than a hobby. Ethan, a career photographer with a camera always in hand and a knack for architectural lines and beautiful light, gave her the push: “Just go for it.” So she did. And here we are.

Our story began as many do, with a Hinge date. One swipe led to grabbing a drink, which turned into a hike, which turned into plane tickets and road trips and falling in love. And not just with each other, but with how photography let us capture and savor every beautiful moment along the way.

A bride and groom exchange vows outdoors on rocky terrain, with the groom holding a book and the bride holding a bouquet of flowers, both smiling at each other.

We believe your wedding day deserves both truth and artistry.

Our documentary heart is about presence. It's being there for the fleeting glances, the quiet tears, the laughter that erupts between moments no one planned. It's about capturing the day as it unfolds, honoring the emotions you actually felt, not the ones you were supposed to perform. These are the moments that get missed if you're not paying attention. We are.

The editorial eye is about intention. When it's time for couples portraits, we step in with a vision to create something that takes your breath away. Images where you look your absolute best. The kind of portraits you can hardly believe are you. The ones that become heirlooms, framed in your home and passed down for generations.

We work with couples who see beauty everywhere. In a mountain vista, in a carefully set table, in the way light falls through old-growth trees. You value art and memory equally. You've curated a day that feels like you, and you want photography that honors both the aesthetic and the emotion of it all.

Our process is designed to feel effortless. During the ceremony, the toasts, the dancing, you'll forget we're there. During portraits, you'll feel calm, present, and trust that we're crafting something extraordinary. You get to be fully in your day while we make sure nothing is lost.

Because the best wedding photography doesn't choose between documentary and editorial. It holds space for both.

Our Philosophy

  • "Working with Jillian is such a breath of fresh air. Her love for photography is obvious, and she puts her heart into capturing the special moments. Trust her with your memories especially with weddings, you won’t be disappointed."

    — Yvette E.

  • "Jillian is more than an excellent photographer. She's got a real eye for the details you didn't even notice, and she has a wonderful way of helping you relax and show yourself in every image."

    — Christy C.

  • "Jillian and Ethan are genuinely the best engagement/wedding photographers around the Denver area. They did mine and my partners engagement photos and literally battled wind and weather with us to get the most GORGEOUS dreamy, fairytale like shots."

    — Jessica E.

  • "I had such an amazing experience with SolPine! They made me feel comfortable and confident and captured such a special moment for us!!"

    — Jordyn

  • "It was awesome working with Jillian and Ethan! They photographed my partner and I for a couples shoot. The location they chose was perfect, they both were so positive/supportive throughout the shoot and helped guide us through a variety of poses (which I normally struggle with)."

    — Megan P.

  • "Jillian is an INCREDIBLE photographer. She's punctual, has a fast turn around, great communication, and she makes clients feel comfortable. She's not afraid to suggest poses and help move you into the right position to get the perfect shot. I cant recommend her enough!"

    — Katie L.

Working with us should feel easy, not like another thing on your to-do list. From our first conversation, we're focused on getting to know you and what matters most so we can show up ready to capture your day the way you'll actually want to remember it.

Here's how it works:

Discovery Call – We talk through your vision, your vibe, and what you're hoping to feel when you look back at these photos in 20 years.

Custom Timeline Planning – We help you build a day that flows naturally and leaves room for the moments that matter, not just the ones on a checklist.

Location & Styling Guidance – Whether you're choosing between mountain backdrops or picking what to wear, we're here to help you feel confident in the decisions.

Engagement Session (included in select collections) – Think of it as a warm-up. We get comfortable with each other, you get comfortable in front of the camera, and we create some beautiful images in the process.

Film + Digital Coverage – We shoot both 35mm and 120mm film alongside digital because we love the depth and timelessness film brings to your gallery.

Sneak Peeks Within 48 Hours – The excitement shouldn't have to wait. We'll send you a handful of favorites while you're still buzzing from the weekend.

Heirloom Albums or Short-Form Content – We offer beautifully designed albums you'll actually pull off the shelf, plus cinematic short-form videos to relive the feeling of your day.

Whether you're eloping on a mountainside or throwing a full celebration with everyone you love, we've got you covered.
