We want to make that photo for you. So we built a session for it. The Studio Editorial is ninety unhurried minutes in our private Denver studio, on film and digital: posed properly, lit deliberately, and nobody rushing you out the door.

Bridal portraits are back
A bridal portrait is the formal portrait of you in your wedding clothes, made in the studio before the wedding, the way your mother or grandmother might have sat for one. For generations every bride did. Then they fell out of fashion, and the only photos of you in the dress became rushed frames between the ceremony and cocktail hour.
We think that's a loss, so we're bringing bridal portraits back with an editorial eye: studio bridal portraits with deliberate light and posing, finished in time to frame for the reception or your parents' wall. Sit solo or bring your partner, put hair and makeup on the timeline if you want it, and show the dress off the way it deserves.
What the session feels like
NINETY MINUTES, WELL SPENT
You arrive to a private studio, not a rented corner of someone's coworking space. Music on, drinks in the fridge, and a place to get ready.
Every session gets an artful direction, and you help choose it. Maybe it's classic portraiture with deep tones and stillness. Maybe it's something modern and fun that could grace the cover of a magazine. We build a mood board together ahead of time, so we walk in with a shared vision for what we're creating, and then we bring it to life.
Then we build the portraits deliberately. We set the pose, we structure the light, and we experiment with the art. Couples keep telling us it was more fun than the outdoor stuff. There's something about being fussed over.

Studio engagement photos trade the unpredictability of an outdoor session for deliberate light and a clean backdrop. It's a couples photoshoot with the polish turned up: add in a mood board, keep the same film and digital blend, and lock in zero weather chaos. Book it as its own session, or as the formal counterpoint to a mountain one.
And if the wedding already happened, come back in your wedding clothes. Studio wedding photos give you the portraits there was no time for on the day itself, without the clock, the wind, or seventeen relatives waiting on dinner. The dress deserves a second wearing.

We take what you told us and find a studio date that fits. A signed contract and payment secures your date.
Then we dive into the details together: outfits, props, and the mood board. By the week of, you'll know exactly where to be, what to wear, and what to bring.
You show up as yourselves. We handle the directing the whole way through, so you're never wondering what to do next. Your only job is to be there and be in love.
THE SPACE
About the studio
We shoot in Studio 1 Denver, an 1,100 square foot studio in the Santa Fe Arts District: natural light, 12 foot ceilings, exposed concrete, and hardwood floors. During your session the whole place is ours, with a private bathroom for outfit changes and music you get to pick.
We also shoot tethered, which means each frame lands on a big screen moments after we take it. You watch the portraits come together in real time and get a say in where they go next. The lighting is the equipment editorial photographers use, not what the mall portrait studio ran, and the room takes whatever direction the mood board points.

Made to be printed
Studio portraits are made for printing, and we build the whole session around it: clean backgrounds, deliberate light, compositions that still look right at 16x20 and beyond. Print the one that stops you big, framed paper over the mantel or a canvas in the entryway, and let it hold the wall.
Or keep the whole session together in an album, the kind that lives on the coffee table and comes out when someone new visits. Your $100 print credit gets you started, we'll help you pick the frame-worthy ones, and the full gallery comes with a print release either way. Somebody, someday, is going to want the portrait for their dresser. Make sure it exists on paper.

A formal portrait session in your wedding clothes, made before or after the wedding, so a finished, framed portrait exists in time for the reception or your parents’ wall. They were standard for generations, they fell out of fashion, and they’re coming back. Ours lean editorial rather than stiff.

Hair and makeup is not included, however, we partner with several local hair and makeup artists that we can recommend for you.

This is the session to overdress for. The dress you never get to wear, the good suit, something structured that holds a shape, your wedding clothes. You can bring multiple looks as well as a variety of props and accessories, and we'll talk them through while we build your mood board.
